I’m a little snowman, look at me.
These are my buttons, 1 2 3.
These are my eyes and this is my nose.
I wear a hat and scarf. Brrr…it’s cold!

SONG LYRICS
Dashing through the snow,
in a one-horse open sleigh.
O’er the fields we go,
laughing all the way.
Bells on bobtails ring,
making spirits bright.
What fun it is to ride and sing
a sleighing song tonight.
Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells,
jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride
in a one-horse open sleigh. Hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells,
jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride
in a one-horse open sleigh.

Let’s sing it once again.
Hello, reindeer.
Hello, snowman.

Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Little snowflake falling from the sky.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling,
falling, falling, falling, falling…
falling on my head.

Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Little snowflake falling from the sky.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling,
falling, falling, falling, falling…
falling on my nose.

Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Little snowflake falling from the sky.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling,

falling in my hand.

Falling on my head.
Falling on my nose.
Falling in my hand.

NOWMAN PAPER PLATE CRAFT

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

If you’re looking for an easy holiday activity for kids, you’ll want to try our paper plate snowman. A snowman is such a wonderful winter character to celebrate, both outdoors and indoors. When the snow gets a bit too chilly, warm up inside with some hot cocoa and a crafternoon of paper plate crafts. We have lots to choose from, but today we are all about this adorable snowman! This craft is also a fun way to talk about weather and introduce snow to little ones that might not have snow where they live.

So, if you’re feeling frosty, let’s get started!

THINGS YOU’LL NEED

Snowman Paper Plate Craft
  • Paper plate
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Black 1” pom poms
  • Googly eyes
  • Bottle cap
  • Colorful construction paper

STEPS

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

To make your snowman’s top hat, cut a rectangular strip of black construction paper for the brim and use the rest of the paper to cut out a square. Round off the edges with your scissors and cut out a strip of colorful paper for the accent ribbon on the hat. Glue these pieces together.

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

Choose a color for your snowman’s scarf and cut out two strips of paper the same width. Keep one strip the width of your paper plate. On the second strip, make some frayed edges and cut it in half on an angle.

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

Glue the two frayed ends onto one side of the main scarf strip, front and back. This will make the scarf look like it’s been tied on the side.

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

To make the carrot nose, cut out a small orange triangle and round off the edges.

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

Trace a bottle cap onto some pink paper and cut out two round, rosy cheeks.

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

Here are all of your happy snowman parts, ready to stick onto your paper plate!

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

Be sure to flip your paper plate over so the underside is front and forward. The face should protrude outward. Use your glue stick to glue down the eyes, cheeks, charcoal mouth, hat, and scarf.

Snowman Paper Plate Craft

Try adding some paper snowflakes or stickers to your snowman for additional detail! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Super Simple fam!
